1. Will I need to bring my own sports equipment? i.e. golf clubs?
You are welcome to bring your own equipment which can be securly locked at the villa. However, all the equipment you need will be provided, including the required safety gear, for the relevant activity - horse riding hats and boots, mountain bikes (although you may wish to bring your own pedals), life jackets on the boats, fishing rods, etc.
2. Should we hire a car? How do we transfer from the airport and travel to activities?
We will meet and greet the guests at the airport and provide transport to and from Villa Gordana, but car hire is strongly recommended to explore the area and get to activities. Su and Sam can arrange your car hire (will give quotes on request) and will fit your a satellite navigation system with all the places of interest pre-programmed.
3. What facilities are there in walking distance from the villa?
The local beach is within walking distance of the villa and the beautiful promenade takes you along the seafront to the marina at Caleta. The centre of Torre del Mar also 2 miles from the villa, with its abundance of bars, cafes, restaurants, and shops. The El Copo area along the beachfront is a bustling area and comes alive at night.
4. Is this type of holiday suitable for families?
Espana Escape holidays are perfect for families. The atmosphere is very relaxed and children very welcome, as Sam and Su's 3 year old son, Arun, will tell you. The villa is well set up for children with all the necessary equipment (cot, high chair, etc) is readily available, and meals can be prepared and timed to accommodate the younger guests. 5. Do we pay for booked activities within the price of the villa, or as we participate?
Due to availability the activities are usually booked in advance and are paid for in the price of the holiday. However, extra activities can be booked during your stay, and if available, paid for at that time.
6. Are there laundry/ironing facilities?
There are laundry and ironing facilities available at the villa for a small charge.
7 . Are all activities suitable for beginners?
All activities are suited to your own experience, with all levels being accommodated. Prior to booking activities we will ask you to fill out a short questionaire form to give us an idea of your level of general fitness and experience in specific activities.
8. Will our party need to arrange our own insurance?
You will need to arrange your own insurance and ensure you are covered for the activities you wish to undertake during your stay.
9. Can flights be arranged for us?
We are happy to arrange your flights, getting you the best deal at the time, for a nominal surcharge. Alternatively you may choose to arrange this yourself and the is a helpful spreadsheet showing budget airlines flying to
10. Do you cater for disabled visitors?
Unfortunately, due to the location and design of the villa, wheelchair access is currently not possible. We are therefore unable, at present, to cater for disabled visitors.
